Record-breaking fundraising and statewide endorsements reflect growing momentum for a campaign ready to lead Maine
MAINE — The Hannah Pingree for Governor campaign announced today that it has raised more than $1.4 million since entering the race, including $850,000 this fundraising period, marking the most any Democrat has raised at this point ever in a Maine gubernatorial race.
“Mainers want a governor who shows up, listens, and cares about their communities and their future,” said Hannah Pingree. “I’ve been traveling the state, meeting with people and hearing directly about what they need to succeed. As Washington grows more chaotic under the Trump administration, governors are on the front lines. This support tells me voters want leadership that is prepared on day one to stand up for Maine and deliver real results.”
Contributions came from all 16 counties and nearly 300 Maine towns, reflecting the campaign’s statewide reach and growing support as Hannah continues to meet with workers, families, small business owners, and community leaders across Maine. Since her launch in June, Hannah has attended 180 campaign events.
“This level of early support matters,” said Emily Cain, Campaign Treasurer. “It reflects confidence in Hannah’s leadership and in a campaign that is prepared, disciplined, and built to win.”
“You don’t see numbers like this unless voters have already made a decision,” said Dan Kleban, founder of Maine Beer Company and finance co-chair for the Hannah for Governor campaign. “Mainers trust Hannah’s leadership, she’s leading the field not just in fundraising, but in nonstop grassroots activity – and she’s just getting started.”
Hannah’s momentum continues to build, with endorsements from Speaker of the Maine House Ryan Fecteau, more than 100 current and former state legislators, and Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund. Combined with record-setting fundraising, the campaign is emerging the clear leader in the 2026 race for governor.
A full campaign finance report will be filed with the Maine Ethics Commission by January 15, in accordance with state law.
