Early fundraising shows strong statewide support and broad enthusiasm for Hannah’s leadership
North Haven, Maine — Just 20 days after launching her campaign for governor, Hannah Pingree has raised over $525,000, an impressive early show of strength that reflects widespread support for her vision, experience, and commitment to Maine’s future.
“I’ve spent my life in Maine — raising my kids, running a small business, and working in public service — and I know how much people care about their communities and their future,” said Hannah. “This early support means so much because it tells me people know I’ll be a governor who listens, works hard, and brings people together to actually get things done.”
The campaign received donations from all 16 counties in Maine and more than 1200 individual donors—a true grassroots effort that reflects the energy and diversity of the state. From fishermen and teachers to nurses, carpenters, small business owners, and community leaders, Mainers from all walks of life are stepping up quickly to support a campaign that reflects their values and priorities.
A full campaign finance report will be filed with the Maine Ethics Commission by the July 15 deadline, in accordance with state law.
Pingree, a former Speaker of the Maine House and Director of the Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, brings both a deep understanding of state government and a track record of getting things done. Her campaign is already drawing early attention as one of the most experienced and forward-looking in the 2026 race.
