Hannah Pingree Releases New TV Ad, “Gets Stuff Done”

A Record of Results. A Vision for Maine.

MAINE  – Hannah Pingree, former Speaker of the Maine House and Democratic candidate for governor, released her second television advertisement of the campaign, “Gets Stuff Done.” The 30-second spot highlights her unmatched record of delivering results for Maine people — from lowering prescription drug costs and expanding health care access, to stopping chemical companies from poisoning children and blocking Wall Street from buying up mobile homes.

WATCH THE AD

Hannah, in addition to leading the field in fundraising and field events, was the first Democrat in the gubernatorial primary to go on air with her previous ad,  “Time”.

The new ad features Mainers speaking directly to camera about what they’ve seen Hannah accomplish — standing up for workers, fighting powerful special interests, and refusing to back down. Voices from across the state make the case that Hannah is the only candidate in the race with an extensive, proven record of getting things done.

“She’s willing to go toe-to-toe with bullies and won’t back down — and that’s what we need right now in Maine,” says David Cousens, former President of Maine Lobstermen’s Association in the ad. “Hannah Pingree for governor. She gets stuff done.”

The launch of “Gets Stuff Done” in the final 5 weeks of the primary campaign, comes as Hannah campaigns on her comprehensive Maine’s Next Chapter plans focused on affordability and economic opportunity — addressing the rising cost of housing, health care, child care, property taxes, energy, and groceries, while laying out a strategy to grow wages and expand opportunity across Maine’s rural, coastal, and urban communities.

Hannah has been leading her Maine’s Next Chapter Tour, traveling to communities statewide for town halls, house parties, and listening sessions where Mainers can connect directly with her and share their vision for the state’s future. Her campaign continues to build momentum with endorsements from Speaker of the Maine House Ryan Fecteau, Mayor Jeff Harmon (Auburn), Mayor Eric Sanders (Belfast)  Mayor Elyse Tipton (South Portland) more than 100 current and former state legislators, Maine High School Democrats, Moms Demand Action, Rachel’s Action Network, the Sierra Club, Vote Mama, and Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund.

Those endorsements — alongside strong debate performances, packed community events, Town Halls, house parties, and listening sessions statewide — have fueled record volunteer engagement and growing momentum in every corner of the state in advance of the June 9th primary.
