MAINE — Hannah Pingree, Democratic nominee for Governor, announced her campaign has reserved more than $1.8 million to secure eight weeks of broadcast television and cable advertising statewide in advance of the November 3 election, making her the first candidate in the race to place major broadcast airtime. This is an initial investment in a broader paid media strategy which will include digital streaming, online video and other targeted platforms to reach voters across Maine.
“We need a governor who will fight for our families, fight for a bright future for Maine, and win on the issues that matter. Maine is a big state, and it is crucial that voters everywhere know what I stand for and the plans I have to make our state more affordable, strengthen healthcare, and support good paying jobs for Mainers,” said Hannah. “This television investment allows us to reach communities statewide and support the grassroots work that is the heart of our campaign.”
The investment comes as Hannah continues to build momentum as the front-runner, fueled by record-breaking fundraising, strong grassroots support, high volunteer engagement, and a growing list of endorsements from elected leaders, healthcare experts, and community advocates across Maine. The campaign has also rolled out a series of policy announcements and she’s drawn packed events and town halls across the state in every county in Maine.
Three public polls have shown Hannah with a commanding lead heading into November — milestones that reflect the growing excitement behind her candidacy and her vision to make Maine more affordable, expand opportunities for families, and deliver results that strengthen communities across the state.
“Hannah has built a campaign and career rooted in engagement and action,” said campaign spokesperson Mary-Erin Casale. “She has the infrastructure, experience, and command to run a serious, high-quality campaign, and no one else in this race is positioned to compete with the momentum she’s built. This early media investment ensures voters across Maine can see and hear her plans well ahead of November, while reflecting the grassroots energy and dedication that define her campaign. Hannah will stand up, fight back, and deliver for Maine.”
With this advertising reservation, the campaign is positioned to build on that momentum and introduce Hannah’s vision to voters across every region of Maine in the final two months of the race.
