I am a proud native of Aroostook County. In Maine local government for over 30 years, I had to be nonpartisan, saw many governors and had conversations with most of them. I know a good governor when I see one.
Now in my retirement from being a city manager and county manager, I am delighted to
support Hannah Pingree for governor. She will hit the ground running.
There are good candidates vying for the Democratic nomination, but Pingree is the best given
her temperament, thoughtful and well-reasoned policies and record of public service.
In Maine, much happens at the community level, and Pingree understands that and is forward
looking with her vision. She recognizes we need to have a balanced state budget that is good
for Maine’s quality of life, economic growth, prosperity and doesn’t leave people behind. Hannah Pingree is the person to lead Maine into the future.
