I am voting for Hannah Pingree because she has a proven record of effectively bringing people from different perspectives and walks of life together to solve Maine’s most pressing problems.
She has worked on housing issues, she has worked on healthcare issues, she has worked to address climate change, she has worked to reduce taxes and to pass reasonable state budgets.
She gained this experience from being chair of her school board, as a small hospitality business owner, developing essential affordable housing and effectively serving for eight years in the state legislature, where she was the House majority leader and then as Speaker of the House.
For the last seven years she has served as Director of the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future. She is of the generation now raising a family of her own and knows personally the challenges families are facing.
Hannah is the person most prepared to be our new governor on day one.
